This guide will help you navigate the MulchMapper platform as a volunteer driver.
How to Register as a Driver
Registration Process
Steps to sign up as a volunteer driver for your organization's mulch fundraiser.

Ask your fundraiser coordinator for the school's unique driver registration code.
- Step 2

Navigate to the MulchMapper website and click "Register as Driver" in the top-right corner.
- Step 3

Enter your personal information, email, and create a password.
- Step 4

Enter the driver registration code provided by your coordinator.
- Step 5

Provide information about your vehicle, including type and estimated capacity.
- Step 6

Select your preferred navigation app. (Google Maps, Apple Maps, etc.)
- Step 7

Click "Register" to complete your registration. You're now ready to help with deliveries!
Using the Driver Dashboard

Driver Dashboard Overview
Your central hub for viewing delivery assignments. Check your dashboard before heading to the loading area to see your assigned orders.

Interactive Delivery Map
View your assigned delivery locations on an interactive map. Tap on a marker to see delivery details and get directions.

Delivery Details
Access detailed information about each delivery, including customer name, address, mulch type, quantity, and any special instructions.
Dashboard Features
Key functions available in your driver dashboard.
Order List
View all orders assigned to you, organized by location.
Route Navigation
Get turn-by-turn directions to each delivery location using your preferred map application.
Delivery Confirmation
Mark orders as delivered once completed, updating the system in real-time.
Customer Delivery Notes
Read delivery notes from the customer to ensure the correct product is delivered to the right location.
Delivery Day Tips
Preparing for Delivery Day
- Arrive at the loading site at your designated time
- Bring work gloves, water, and sun protection
- Wear appropriate clothing that can get dirty
- Charge your phone fully before arriving
- Make sure you've downloaded your preferred navigation app
- Consider bringing a tarp or plastic to protect your vehicle
Loading Procedure
- Check in with the loading coordinator upon arrival
- Open your dashboard to verify your assigned deliveries
- Position your vehicle in the loading area as directed
- Loading volunteers will help put mulch in your vehicle
- Confirm the number of bags/quantity loaded matches your assignment
- Get final instructions from the coordinator before departing
Delivery Etiquette
- Always be polite and professional when interacting with customers
- Place mulch in the location specified in the delivery notes
- If the customer is home, greet them and confirm the placement location
- Thank the customer for supporting your organization
- Mark the delivery as complete in the app before leaving
- If no one is home, follow the delivery instructions in the app
Troubleshooting
Common Issues and Solutions
Quick fixes for problems you might encounter during deliveries.
- App won't load or crashes

Try refreshing the page, clearing your browser cache, or using a different browser. Make sure you have a stable internet connection.
- Can't find an address

Try entering the address manually in a mapping app like Google Maps. If that doesn't work, contact the delivery coordinator for assistance.
- No one is home at delivery

Follow the delivery instructions in the app. Usually, you'll be instructed to place the mulch at a specific location. Take a photo of the completed delivery and add it to your delivery notes.
- Customer has questions about their order

Direct them to contact the fundraiser coordinator. Your role is delivery only - you shouldn't need to address billing or order questions.
- Technical issues during delivery

If you can't mark a delivery as complete or encounter other technical issues, make a note and continue with your deliveries. Contact your coordinator when you return to the loading site.
